Arimed developed a patient-centered video featuring our prosthetic patients. Past patients were invited to provide testimonials and some of our practitioners were interviewed. The intent is to give new amputees a better handle on the practical and physiological aspects of what they can expect after surgery. It is designed to help patients understand and better deal with the unknown that all amputees experience.

June 9, Right alongside of Arimed’s milestone 60th Anniversary, the Brooklyn Borough President issued a proclamation recognizing Arimed’s “commitment to promoting community health and well being.”  He went on record for commending Arimed for “providing professional orthotic and prosthetic care to countless injured…giving hope and a second chance through care and intervention…throughout six decades…”

June 3-EWVIDCO had their Annual Tradeshow which Arimed attended to represent our manufacturing branch where we custom build prostheses and orthoses. EWVIDCO is a one-stop resource for industrial businesses in northern Brooklyn, providing support services in energy, green initiatives, workforce, etc.

On April 29-May 1st, NYU’s Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation held a 3 day course on lower extremity orthotics and prosthetics for medical residents.
